Growth and capacity building, outreach, exploitation and application of outputs

A major change in emphasis with this proposal relative to the existing GENIE project is the active engagement of the wider Earth system modelling and Integrated Assessment communities. Outreach is part of the remit for post (1). Members of the project will participate in PRISM and ESMF meetings and vice versa. We will exploit close links with the Open Middleware Infrastructure Institute to ensure that Grid technologies produced/enhanced in the project which facilitate the prosecution of new science are made available openly to the community.
